US And Canada: Tesla Stopped Taking Orders For Model 3 Long Range

Tesla has taken a significant step and removed the possibility of ordering the Model 3 long range in the US and Canada from its website.

The Tesla Model 3 LR AWD is no longer available for order and has greyed at the bottom of the list with the "Available in 2023" annotation.

This means that customers interested in the new Tesla Model 3 will currently have to choose between the entry-level Model 3 RWD and the Model 3 Performance (LR AWD).

Once the change was discovered and questions raised, Tesla CEO Elon Musk responded by explaining to one of his followers that the queue is too long. Not only that, he also added that it will come back.

We are not sure if this answer is entirely satisfactory, since in fact the estimated delivery time in most Tesla models is long. The Tesla Model Y, ordered today, is expected to take place in mid-2023.
