A new McDonald's ad has given us our first look at Princess Peach from the upcoming video game adaptation, The Super Mario Bros. Movie.
"They looked like a Disney princess to Peach," said Twitter user Elliot Duby, who took a screenshot of her before the ad went offline. "It doesn't feel bad at all." "
The upcoming film will have Princess Peach voiced by Anya Taylor-Joy and was notably absent during the first official trailer of the Super Mario Bros. movie which was released yesterday.
Despite this, it seems Peach was included in a group of McDonald's ads, which have since been removed from social media.
Although the screenshots aren't of great quality, it looks like Princess Peach stacks up much better than her in-game counterpart – a faithful adaptation that's very close to games.
Chris Pratt's Mario voice has inevitably come under criticism for just being his own voice... But does that mean Anya Taylor-Joy will use her voice as well? Not necessary.
For one thing, we've also seen Jack Black's Bowser that sounds particularly different from Jack Black's usual speaking voice — something we heard more at New York Comic-Con, where Jack Black showed off his performance more.
Meanwhile, the French-dubbed version of the new trailer of The Super Mario Bros. movie has received huge excitement from fans. Why? Because Mario seems too much.
