Charles, the former Prince of Wales, became monarch after the death of Queen Elizabeth II on Thursday. His new position was formally confirmed at a ceremony on Saturday.
Proclamations are a historical tradition, when they will first hear about the entry of a new emperor to people across the country.
A Manchester City Council spokesman said they were "still an opportunity to come together and reflect on a historic moment". The events will be held at the following locations (all in BST)
Cheshire East Council, council office in Sandback, will also make its official announcement at Westfields.
