Carl Froch responds to violent threat from UFC star Conor McGregor

Carl Froch hit back at Conor McGregor after being threatened by the UFC superstar on social media. McGregor struck the former world champion boxer in a bizarre rant during Anthony.

The Irishman, known for queuing up with froaches before, tweeted: "That froach tick, short rough pencil neck... I'll grab her head and clean her at once with my bare hands.

"Who is this Mouth Little PR*** talking to?" Froach replied, citing McGregor's tweet. I'll pull you out with that wispy beard and show you how the big boys do it!!"

Froch was part of the Sky Sports team at their London studio along with world champion Lawrence Okolie, heavyweight Fraser Clark and host Anna Woolhouse.

He was discussing Callum Smith's knockout win on the undercard in Jeddah when McGregor took to social media.

Froch gave an interview last month in which he claimed that McGregor, a former two-weight UFC champion, lacked power.

"McGregor can't punch, he can't remove the peel from the rice pudding," Froach said. "I was there when he fought Floyd Mayweather — Connor McGregor is a big name because he's got a mouth and he's got charisma."
